The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a good option if you are on a budget and don’t require a stroller that can be used as a car seat carrier. It has a flip-flop friendly one-step footbrake.

1. Babyzen YOYO2
The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the most lightweight buggy for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, thanks to its nimble maneuverability and fold-down that fits into the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. The latest version comes with independent suspension on all four wheels, made from Hytrel Elastomer, which allows it to effortlessly navigate across all types of surfaces and terrain’.
The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 and 6months of colour pack are combined to create a stylish pushchair with a delicate, elegant aesthetic. The frame itself weighs less than a kilo and is so light you can easily lift it from the box (and do it using one hand).
It’s also easy to attach or remove adaptors or attachments like the hood for instance, snaps on to the YOYO2 with reassuring clicks – as well as being machine washable at 30deg to prevent stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram right from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted to a stroller from 6 months using the YOYO Connect additional chassis.
2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore
The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great option for parents who are looking for a versatile stroller wagon. It transforms from a stroller to a wagon by simply flipping the handle, meaning parents can choose the mode they prefer for their journey. The wagon can fit two or three children ranging from 6 months to five years old. It comes with a large storage basket that will hold all your necessities when you are on the move.
The Xplore has two canopies that rotate from front-to-back, providing adequate sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than other wagons. This isn’t ideal for long drives or naps.
The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy, but it doesn’t bend as much as other wagons we have tried. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it isn’t able to lock securely when folded. It is easy to move however, and fits through doors that are narrower than 28 inches.
3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side
This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents who want an affordable second stroller for their travels. It earned an eye-catching score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and fold size, which means it’s very light, compact when folded and easy to move into a trunk of a car or closet. It also offers a multi-position reclining seat and a parent cup holder. Other features of note include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels, as well as two large hanging storage bags.
It performed better in our push and turn test than a lot of the other strollers we tested but is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only a direct overhead coverage and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a more extensive canopy.
The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to put together using an average manual and no components required tools. However, it is missing some critical features that we think you should consider non-negotiable in a double stroller, such as an extra-large basket and reclining seats that have adjustable leg rests.
4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1
The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi’s newest pushchair, and is advertised as an urban travel system. It is really easy to manoeuvre and the one-hand reclining of the seat and the massive shopping basket make it easy for parent-tots to get the child in and out of the seat quickly. Despite being a narrow pushchair it handled the everyday bumps with ease and went through doorways without any fuss.
The front wheels can be locked in an forward position or allow them to swivel which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to swivel on our walk along an uneven path. It handled this reasonably well, even though it felt slightly more bumpy.
5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2
Baby Jogger is known for their all-terrain, 3-wheeler Jogging pushchairs, however they also make a good assortment of strollers with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most well-known model. It is simple to fold and can fit into the boot of a car even with the carrycot attached.
It is a bit heavier than other strollers that we tried, but the wheels are a rubber composite, which makes it feel well-built and durable. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains, and even with two children with shopping bags and other things.
Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that can be lowered to reveal UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are sturdy and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams that can be blown back onto toddlers faces.
It’s not a lot of storage space, however it does have a big basket that’s deep enough for a changing bag and plenty of groceries. You can also connect it with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for infants up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a excellent choice if you wish to use a stroller on the go.
